One of the biggest annoyances, is when you check your mobile phone and you see you have 5% battery left, but it has only been off charge for a couple of hours, well StoreDot may have the solution.
StoreDot has made a prototype that uses nanotechnology to charge a smartphone from 0% to 100% in as little as 30 seconds. It uses bio-organic nanodots (tiny conductive crystals) to rapidly charge the battery.
At the moment the battery is only a prototype, they still have the job of trying to make the battery pack smaller, as currently it is quite large (see video below). Also with it just currently being a prototype it isn’t commercially available but the company hope it will be out in late 2016. Retail price hasn’t be confirmed yet but would most likely be more expensive that the average phone charger.
